Glasby at St Chad, Kirby

We have had an interesting conversation with Jeremy Fagan, Team Rector, Kirkby Team Ministry of St. Chad’s, St. Martin’s, St. Andrew's. The Church has an opus sectile of The Last Supper. The first version of the mosaic was made for St. Stephen’s Church, Philadelphia, 1888/89. The mosaic was designed by Henry Holiday and then executed by the Salviati workshop in Venice https://salviatimosaics.blogspot.com/2013/05/st-chads-church-kirkby.html Holiday and his wife supervised the faces personally.

All but one of the stained glass windows are by Henry Holiday, and presumably Glasby was involved in the production of these.

 The 1897 Windows must have been completed at Holiday's independent Workshop (1888-1905) where William Glasby was the Chief Painter.

There are 2 Windows from 1876 and 1886 made at Powells Workshop. William Glasby was Holiday's painter of choice at Powells and so he most probably painted these Windows.
