The Work:- One window of two Lights with Tracery over.

Date:- Not known.

Location:- Not known.

Subjects:- (l) St. John the Baptist. (r) Jesus with children.

Inscriptions:- (l) “the voice of one crying in the wilderness”.

(r) “Suffer little children to come unto Me”.

Back of the cartoon/sketch has Glasby’s Putney address.

However, the church’s actual windows are similar in style to Glasby but are by Jones & Willis of London, whose actual inscriptions are:- (l) “For this is my beloved Son”.

And (r) “Suffer little children”, but with a different design to Glasby.

Perhaps Glasby’s sketch was not accepted.

With thanks to Linda Stephens for data supplied during 2021.
