Back of the cartoon/sketch has Glasby’s Kensington address overwritten with Putney.
Also a hand written note, signed by William Glasby (?) saying:- “The details of ornament and the colour scheme have been designed in keeping with the adjoining window made by others”. I think he is referring to the Ascension window but I am unsure who “made by others” refers to.
Note:- The Ascension Window is of the same basic design as the following Glasby Logs in my collection:- 30. 88. 97. 135. 236. 268. 269. 270. 273. Although unsigned it was installed in 1925 (as were the Glasby windows), so it seems extremely likely that the Ascension Window is Glasby’s work.
The dedication at the base of that window reads:- To the Glory of GOD and in loving memory of the Rev WILLIAM BAILEY and of MARY MARTIN BAILEY. Erected by their elder son. 1925.
